The information contained in my comment to your previous show “What does God Think, Part 1” was primarily taken from one of the most useful books I have ever read: Rev. Alexander Hislop’s book titled “The Two Babylons or Papal Worship Proved to Be The Worship of Nimrod and His Wife, With Sixty-One Wood Cut Illustrations From Nineveh, Babylon, Egypt, Pompeii, Etc..” New York Loizeaux Brothers, Seventh American Printing 1956.
This book provides an excellent explanation of the ancient Babylonian Religious System {Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth (Rev. 17-18)}. The book sets out and accomplishes proving that this ancient system was passed down intact to the modern-day Catholic Church, Freemasonry, and various other occult/mystery religions. For example, Catholicism is in no way representative of Biblical Christianity. The images of the Woman and Child are not Mary the mother of Jesus nor the baby Jesus but rather Semiramis and Nimrod/Tammuz (Babylonian).
The book explains symbolism, idolatry, icons, relics, rites, rituals, ceremonies, priest-craft, temple worship/practices, traditions of men, etc.. which are all identical to the ancient Babylonian Religious System. In addition, the book shows how our Modern Holidays (i.e. Christmas, Easter, Halloween) also originate from the ancient religious practices of Babylon. The true origin of pagan festivals and heathen customs are explained and can all be traced back to Babel/Babylon.
Alexander Hislop’s book is a classic and has been controversial since it was first published as a hardcover in 1919. I’m certainly not an antiquities scholar but there appears to be more than a grain of truth to Hislop’s arguments. Hislop’s book requires study so it won’t do for a relaxing afternoon at the beach. You’ll definitely want to get an older Loizeaux Brothers edition (red and white dust cover) which contains the unaltered text and supporting material, including the introduction, illustrations, footnotes, appendix, index.
This book is excellent for anyone trying to understand the mindset of the criminal elite (politicians, bankers, Royals, Freemasons, Jesuits, Illuminati, etc..) who have secretly controlled the world and imposed their system on humanity for thousands of years (from after the flood as the descendants of Cain/Ham). Their way of thinking and religion is so foreign to the vast majority of humanity that most are flabbergasted as to how/why the world is so crazy. It’s not crazy, it’s just that our rulers believe in and follow a religion completely different than the vast majority of people. This book clears up a lot of the confusion as far as their real religion versus the religion(s) they may publicly profess to believe. Unfortunately, the occult is alive and well. Joshua 24:14-15 (KJV).
